你对深圳地铁英文站名的意见

许多人都对这一个问题抱有一定的看法，特开此贴交流。
我觉得深圳地铁的英文站名翻译得很一般，特别是看到车载路线图的SHIMINZHONGXIN、HUIZHANZHONGXIN、GOUWUGONGYUAN、SHIJIEZHICHUANG……
我觉得有些站名可以适当地意译。。例如 市民中心CITY HALL(我觉得市民中心叫“市政厅”比较合适)...

上次有个从UK来的亲戚,不会普通话,听深圳地铁的英语,不懂站名的意思(例如大剧院)...

要不就纯拼音，如“市民中心”就叫"Shimin Zhongxin"、“大运”就叫"Dayun"；
要不就翻译得彻底一点，"Civic Center"，"Universiade"。

不咸不淡的英文还不如用拼音。

我说，大家其实都很讨厌这些英文标示吧，与其在这里埋怨，不如想个办法让地铁公司知道，让他们去修改，把英语改回来，算是给自己的城市争个面子吧。

我觉得地铁的的广播播不出做尾音的[k]或[c]...所以很难听得清楚咯...

就算現在要改，也會很浪費，所有標誌，站臺，售票機，系統都要改.......
剛剛開始設計就有問題，本來英文就是給外國人看的，幹嗎要用拼音啊.....
雖然說日本的站名也是用五十音圖拼起來的，但這個我們沒有必要去學吧....

要譯成英文，也要在音譯和意譯間取個平衡，不然會反過來鬧個Expensive Sun(貴陽)的笑話。
最重要是忠於原地名，地名的英文是什麼，站名的英文就取什麼。例如市民中心叫Citizen's Center，站名就要叫Citizen's Center，不要叫Civic Center；竹子林是叫Zhuzilin，就不要把站名寫作Wood of Bamboo。

Civic Center 不是我自己“翻译”出来的，路牌、政府网站一般是这样叫的，当然与直接翻译有出入。

深圳的市民中心包含政府、人大、政协、博物馆等，叫CIvic Center概念上没有错。
